Data model editor
Application configuration > Data model editor
The Data model editor is used by application administrators to configure the data model, i.e. tables related to each other, and their fields, defining the structure of your data based on the business processes. This is the first step when creating an application in IS Tools.
This form displays, from left to right:
-
A tab to configure Tables.
-
A tab to configure Lists.
-
A tab to configure Fields of the selected table.
Multi-level sorting: You can sort more than one column, keeping a specific order, e.g. sort by column "A", then by column "B", and so on.
For that, after sorting the first column, hit and hold Shift on your keyboard, and then click on the second column you wish to sort (one click for ascending, two clicks for descending), and then the third column, etc.
Note that the order will be indicated by a number together with the sorting arrow icon.
For a quick saving of your changes, use Ctrl+Alt+s as a keyboard shortcut. |
-
Groups tab, to optionally organize the fields of the selected table into separate groups.
-
Details tab, to see information related to the selected Table.
-
Diagram tab, to display relations between tables in a graphical way.
