Administration of users and roles

Besides managing the data model, forms, and reports in the application, the IS Tools administrator is responsible for maintaining user accounts, roles, and access rights. Each user can have multiple roles (minimum 1), which provide access to different items within the application. These administrative tasks are summarized as follows:

  1. Create and edit user accounts in the User administration form.

  2. Create, edit and delete roles in the Role administration form (this may be done as first step).

  3. Associate users and roles (can be done in User administration and Role administration).

  4. Assign access rights to roles.
