Navigation menu

The IS Tools navigation menu is a vertical window displayed along the left and top of the browser, and is used by all application users to access forms and reports. The items contained in the navigation menu may vary depending on the access rights the user’s role has within the application.

The navigation menu layout, in a new application, consists of four sections:

Menu heading

Displays basic information and functions:

  • To the left, the current application name. Clicking on the arrow next to it, allows administrators to configure the menu, to refresh it, collapse/expand it, and to switch between applications. Also, note that another arrow is available to hide the left bar.

  • To the right:

    • The Quick navigate, where you can search for any form by simply typing some of its name. Optionally, click Ctrl+K to display this tool at any time.

    • The Messages icon provides access to the Messaging System of the IS Tools server.

    • The First name of the current user. Clicking on it, may list:

      • The User Settings, where the user can inspect and edit a number of settings that affect the user account.

      • Help, to open this manual.

      • Mobile/Desktop mode.

      • The Log out entry. Any unsaved data will be lost.

Menu folders

More folders can be added to store and reorganize other application forms; also, if desired, forms located in these folders can be rearranged and/or moved to other folders and subfolders, renamed or deleted. All this can be done with the Menu configuration form.

Hold Ctrl and click a form entry in the menu to open it in a new browser tab.

Switching application in one tab affects other tabs too, since the same login session is shared between them. If you need to work in two applications at once, you may use two different browsers or Incognito mode.
