Application users
Administration of users and roles > Application users
Users that belong to multiple applications of the same company, can be added as members between these applications. This is done by the administrator via the Application users form.
The Application users form is not part of the available administrative forms in the navigation menu. It needs to be manually added to the menu. |
To add a user to the current application:
-
Select the user in the Available users list box (to quickly find it, you can apply a filter by typing the username, last name or first name, and then click the Refresh button).
-
Assign a role to this user with the Add role to new application users drop-down field, at the bottom right of the form (you can also assign roles or create more at a later stage with other administrative forms).
-
Click the left arrow button to move it to the Application users list box.
-
Click the Save button.
To remove a user from the application:
-
Select the user in the Application users list box.
-
Click the right arrow button to move it to the Available users list box.
-
Click the Save button.
Additional features:
User locked out of application: These radio buttons can be used to keep users in the application, without allowing them to log in and selecting the application (they still may log in, and select other applications in which they are not locked out). The Yes option is automatically set if an administrator in another application changes a user’s password. This is due to security reasons, to prevent abuse of the user’s account.
Locked out reason: A short text to explain why the user was locked out.
User application account expires: If provided, the access to the application will be denied for the selected user after this date.
Don’t allow location tracking for user: Mark this option to deny geolocation for a specific user. If this setting is not available, ask your application administrator to check the Enable location tracking of the Application settings form.
You can allow geolocation for all users assigned to a specific role. |
