-
Optional step. Build a test application with a given business case, with our quick exercise. It’s a 20-minute-training before you start with a real one.
-
Analyze the processes and workflows of your business, to be able to define relevant elements called tables , fields and relations that can be part of the data model , which will be the base of your information system. Also, functional roles must be identified.
This is the most important step when designing an information system, prior to configuration. A good analysis of your business processes and workflows leads to an accurate definition of the data model and roles, which will simplify and shorten the time of implementation.
Once the business analysis is done and you are clear as to what elements you want to include in your application, continue with the following steps:
-
Configure tables and fields in the Data model editor.
-
Configure the forms where users will have access to enter/read data in the Form designer.
-
Create roles and set access rights to define who can see and edit what.
-
Create users and assign roles.
-
Configure reports to define what information the outcome will contain.
