# Report wizard

> Create IS Tools report templates step by step. Select tables, fields, sorting, filters, rename headings, choose report type, and configure scheduling.

Reports are created as _templates_ with the **Report wizard**. Also, existing templates can be edited here.

This assistant consists of a sequence of windows that provide a number of settings to configure a report:

1.  The first window welcomes the user. Click the **Next** button to proceed with the creation of a report.

8.  [Scheduled report](report_wizard/scheduled_report.md) (displayed only if the type of report is **Role-based**, chosen in previous step)

9.  [Report information](report_wizard/report_information.md)

10.  The last window is displayed to tell the user that the process of creating a report is finished. Click **Done** to be able to continue with the [**View reports**](report_manager.md) form, where the report you just created (or any report you have access to) can be run.

Each section is a separate file:

- [Records to include](report_wizard/records_to_include.md): This window is used to select the tables affected by and triggering the rule.
- [Fields to include](report_wizard/fields_to_include.md): This form is used to choose which fields to include in the report.
- [Sorting](report_wizard/sorting.md): This window allows the user to decide how the items are sorted in a report.
- [Filter](report_wizard/filter.md): This window is used to add filter criteria to the report.
- [Rename headings](report_wizard/rename_headings.md): Here you can customize the report headings.
- [Type of report](report_wizard/type_of_report.md): This window is only visible if the Create role based/scheduled access right is granted to the Report wizard in the Form rights form.
- [Scheduled report](report_wizard/scheduled_report.md): Note that this window is displayed only if the type of report is Role-based, chosen in the previous window.
