# Report queue

> View queued reports and imports in IS Tools. Download finished output files in Excel, HTML, XML, or PDF. Terminate or delete pending and running jobs.

[Reports](reports.md) > Report queue

This form displays both reports and imports that have been processed or scheduled by the current user.

It may be displayed immediately after a report is run from the **Report manager** form. Otherwise, open it from the **Reports** folder, on the navigation menu.

Once the report is queued, click the Refresh icon until the **Status** is **Finished**.

Once the **Status** is **Finished**, click on the format icon (either ![xls format](_images/report_queue/xls_format.png), ![html format](_images/report_queue/html_format.png), ![XML format](_images/report_queue/XML_format.png) or ![zippedFile](_images/report_queue/zippedFile.png)) to see the output file.

Optionally, click on the template name, which works as hyperlink, to take you back to the report in the [Report manager](report_manager.md).

> **Tip:**
>
> Show or hide the columns you wish by clicking the ![NDMEhiddenSettings](_images/NDMEhiddenSettings.png) icon place at the top left corner of this form. Filters may be applied per column, and then saved all together with the **Filters** button.

> **Note:**
>
> Note that columns of the generated report containing:
>
> - checkbox fields, will display values as "TRUE" and "FALSE", for ticked and unticked, respectively.
>
> - data from reversed relation, is sorted by record name.
>
> - date fields with values earlier than January 1, 1900, will be displayed as text in the report (i.e., shown as left-aligned in cell) due to the [Excel limitation](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us?correlationid=22ede289-4054-4c85-bc20-5e581f8954b0&ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us) on date system.

> **Note:**
>
> Normally, report output files are kept for a period of time. This _number of days to keep reports_ can be set in the [Application preferences](application_preferences.md) form. At the end of this period, they are automatically deleted. Note that report templates created with [Report manager](report_manager.md), instead, are stored indefinitely, or until manually deleted.

> **Note:**
>
> Reports may be generated together with a [macro template](report_macro_files.md).

_Delete/Cancel_ and _Terminate_ icons. Individual reports _can be deleted_ only if its execution has not started or has already finished (i.e., the **Status** indicates that it is still **Waiting in queue** or that is **Finished**, respectively) by ticking the corresponding checkbox in the leftmost column and clicking the Delete/Cancel icon. But if _a report is already running_ (i.e., the **Status** indicates either **1/4 Analyzing report**, **2/4 Collecting entries**, **3/4 Collecting data** or **4/4 Creating report**), it _can be terminated_ by clicking on the Terminate icon.

> **Tip:**
>
> The action to terminate a report (if [**form rights**](form_rights.md#import_forms_rights) set) can be very useful in case the user made a mistake by running such a report, or realizes that it will take a long time in that moment (e.g., due to rush office time) and it is preferable to cancel it and run at a later time. Also, terminating a report will accelerate the execution of other reports in queue.

> **Note:**
>
> The retention period of these logs is usually 30 days, and can be edited up to 60 days in the [Application preferences](application_preferences.md) form. Logs can be manually deleted.
