# Form designer

> The IS Tools form designer lets administrators build forms using panels, Detail, Table, Multi detail, and Repeater sections, plus fields and components.

[Application configuration](application_configuration.md) > Form designer

The Form designer allows the administrator to configure [application forms](application_forms.md).

There are two different methods to access the Form designer. First one is by clicking the **Form designer** entry in the [**Navigation menu**](navigation_menu.md). The second approach is only possible when forms already are created in the application. In this case click the **Open in form designer** entry in the ![FormMenu](_images/FormMenu.png) menu, next to the form title bar.

> **Tip:**
>
> Once the editor is opened, consider collapsing the [navigation menu](navigation_menu.md), in order to have a wider area for the form configuration.

> **Tip:**
>
> See exactly when a form was last loaded, along with its total usage count over the last week, month, and year, by adding analytics columns in the **Open Form** window. This will help you clean up unused forms and prioritize updates for your most popular ones.
