# Diagram

> Generate a graphical diagram in IS Tools to visualize your data model — showing tables and the relationships between them in a custom layout.

A diagram is a graphical representation of the tables and their relations with each other in a system, i.e., the structure of your data based on the business processes.

**To generate** the model of your application, click the **Diagram** tab of the Data model editor.

Optionally, reposition the tables and arrows in order to improve and customize the layout.
