# Configuration bundles

> Copy tables, fields, forms, or rules between IS Tools apps using configuration bundles. Download as JSON from the source and upload to the destination.

As an administrator working with continous integration of a business application, it is common to work multiple environments, usually with seperate applications for production and testing. Configuration bundles makes it possible to copy any table, field, form, or rule, from one application to another.

1.  In the Configuration bundles menu entry of the _origin application_, click on a tab, and select one or multiple components you wish to copy, then click on the **Add selected** button on top of the list.

    > **Tip:**
    > 
    > Click on the **Select dependencies** in case you wish to add related components. For instance, for Forms, all the related tables, fields, validations and linked forms will come along.

2.  Click on the Download button.

3.  Switch to the _destination application_, open Configuration bundles, and click on the **Upload** button.

4.  Find the _bundle (n).json_ file in your Downloads folder and upload it.

5.  Take a look at the list displayed, to make sure everything is ok. Click on **Save**.

> 
> If you copy the same items again using a second bundle, new copies won’t be created. Instead, the existing items in the destination application will be updated with the new configuration.

> Some configuration cannot be copied using Configuration bundles. This includes [field groups](field_groups.md), report templates and import templates.
